My day job requires my writing skills, not my name. And that's okay. I've had other chances to capture that ever-coveted byline.
My favorite work is the stuff no one has paid for. I started my Medium blog in 2015 to post a listicle of tips for my sister entering her freshman year of college. The piece got 300 likes on Medium and was shared widely by friends and strangers. It was a case study for the suspicion that even the deeply personal may be felt more commonly than you think. After that piece, I continued to share my thoughts on my blog on everything from books, to my dad, to Jon Snow, to my college graduation, to surviving the 2015 Paris attacks. I included some clips below but feel free to (and please!) visit the page. Nowhere else will you find a truer portrait of me.
We've come a long way from selfies (alright, maybe we haven't). Social media platforms each require their own approach and Instagram most of all has a high bar set for content. Below you can find examples of some graphics I conceptualized and created, as well as photos I staged and styled for a marketing company's Instagram account.
